Cris P. Walker
I am so glad you came to get to know me and my site! My name is Cristina Parra Walker (a.k.a. Crispywalker) and I am passionate about creating art that inspires conversation, different perspectives, and reflects the beauty and complexity of the world around us. My attention to detail, willingness to work hard, and play and explore through the creative process.. these are things that bring me great joy!!
About Me
I was born in Denver, Colorado. Have lived in New Mexico, Maryland, Texas, and currently in Kansas. I also lived in Johannesburg, South Africa and London, England. There I was able to further develop art skills through formal instruction and lots of opportunities to practice. I am a first-generation USA born Cuban-American. Yes, I speak Spanish. I live in Kansas with my loving and hardworking husband and two cute dogs. My three (grown) children are my pride and joy.
My skills include marketing, communications, PR, graphics, and fine art. I have taken watercolor, mixed media, nude painting and drawing, art history, art appreciation, and pottery sculpting classes while living 3 years in London and 2 years in South Africa.
In addition to art, I love public speaking, marketing, social media campaigns, desktop publishing, and writing. I have published over 175 articles for trade publications, magazines, and newspapers.
I have a degree in Communications and a minor in Writing from Loyola University Maryland. I currently work at DLR Group as the Enterprise Marketing Manager. I am involved in the Kansas City community through volunteering and giving 100% of my art proceeds to local KC charities.

Cris is extremely organized and very creative in execution and development and of ideas. Her public speaking is so natural and she is very comfortable in front of any sized group. She has an eye for good design no matter what she is working on. I enjoy working with her!
